Kinnaur

• Chandigarh Arrival – Thanedhar

  Arrive at the Chandigarh airport latest by 11 AM. We will soon get on the Himalayan Expressway on our way to the mountains. Lunch will be en-route in Kasauli, as we ascent from the plains. Our stay for the night is located at 6250 ft above sea level amongst apple orchards and overlooking the Sutlej River valley. We will leave the highway at Narkanda 50 kms after Shimla and drive on a countryside road amidst deodar and pine forest. Dinner and overnight stay at Thanedhar.

• Thanedhar - Tani Jubbar Lake - Hatu Mata Mandir

  This will be a relaxed day, as we drive to the serene Tanni Jubbar Lake and ascend to the tallest peak in the Shimla District at 11000 feet, The Hatu Peak, where the Mata Temple is located. Enjoy lunch at a resort overlooking the mountains. Return to our homestay in Thanedhar.

• Thanedar - Sangla Valley - Batseri

  After breakfast, proceed towards the Sangla Valley and drive parallel to the River Baspa. There will be a stop for lunch en-route before entering the village town of Sangla. Our camp will be in the village of Batseri, amongst apple orchards. In the chill of the evening, enjoy a bonfire night followed by dinner.

• Batseri - Chitkul - Raksham - Batseri

  This day takes us to what is known as the last village of India on this side of the Himalayas. Chitkul is at a height of 11,500 feet and is idyllically located in the Baspa Valley. Just over the mountain range is where China’s territory starts. On our way back we will enjoy lunch in the village of Raksham. The evening is best to walk around the village of Batseri.

• Batseri - Reckong Peo - Kalpa

  After breakfast proceed to the balcony of the Kinner Kailash Mountain Range and also get some free time for local shopping at Sangla. We will then drive parallel to the River Sutlej and make one final ascent to Reckong Peo, the administrative centre of Kinnaur and further reach the hotel in the mountain ranges of Kalpa for lunch. Post lunch, proceed to drive to a few more viewpoints in Kalpa.

• Kalpa - Sarahan - Narkanda

  This morning we will start driving towards Shimla, but staying true to our Kinnauri roots we will first visit the mountain town of Sarahan, famous for its Kali Mata temple. Here, we will enjoy lunch overlooking the Himalayas. Later drive downhill and back on the banks of the Sutlej to ascent to the town of Narkanda for a night stay.

• Narkanda - Chandigarh

  We will depart at leisure living the mountains of Kinnaur behind to start on our journey back home. We will reach Chandigarh in the evening and check-in for dinner and overnight in the Hotel.

• Chandigarh - Back Home

  We will arrange individual transfers to the Airport after breakfast to board the flight back home (as per the flight timings)
